The Peer Housing Support Program is a community-driven solution to bring those transitioning from homelessness to housing together with experiential Peer Supporters. Every relationship is different, but Peer Supports can help to provide assistance in daily management, social and emotional support, problem-solving, systems navigation, links to community resources, and more, in an ongoing relationship.

Operational funding is key to running a Peer Housing Support Program, as the Community Outreach Manager cautions there are challenges in sustaining this work solely on grants. Federal housing funding, through the rights-based National Housing Strategy, could help to support this work.
