Ready to Rent offers two courses for landlords looking to help solve housing issues in their community.
- RentEd Introductory shares the value of tenant education, and outlines what tenants have learned through RentSmart. So that when you choose a RentSmart graduate as your tenant, you know what they know. The goal is successful tenancies, and RentSmart lays a common foundation of communication, roles and responsibilities, and helping both sides get what they need.
- RentEd Professional Development is for landlords wanting to be part of solving housing issues in your community. This course builds knowledge, skills and capacity in housing tenants who may be experiencing life transitions: best practices in being a landlord, systems for successful tenancies, and how to access the network of community supports to address issues if they arise. Landlords receive the ‘Creating Successful Tenancies’ manual that includes an overview of legal rights and responsibilities, templates to help increase communication and understanding of expectations and responsibilities, tips for preventing damages and evictions, and the community resources available that make being a landlord easier.
